About Gingko Village

Gingko Village is a built-to-suit French compound for PSA/DPCA French expatriates in Wuhan. It is a high-end, fully-furnished, mixed-use rental housing community owned by Dongfeng Automobile Development Company. To ensure a smooth, well-organized, higher quality, and satisfactory project delivery, PSA/DPCA requested the help of BMP, a French-Australian Joint Venture between Bouygues and Meinhardt, on the development management of this sophisticated and demanding project. Michael CHEN was BMP’s appointed team leader, responsible for the design, construction, and procurement management, as well as communication with the landlord and the French party. The project was delivered ahead of schedule, under budget, with French expatriates’ great satisfaction.

Located at Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Zhuankou, Hanyang District, Gingko Village is part of Phase III of the large scale Dongfeng Sunshine City developed by Dongfeng Automobile Development Company. The total GFA of Gingko Village is 330,000 square feet, comprising of 18 double story townhouses and 2 high-rise (11-story) apartments. Amenities include a French school, a kindergarten, a clubhouse, an international SOS clinic, a swimming pool, a basketball court, a tennis court, a playground, and retail shops. 

The project was constructed by the Third Branch of China State Construction Engineering Company (CSCEC) and was delivered in June 2006. Gingko Village’s design and construction created a new community lifestyle, which has become an example of the high-end rental housing community in Wuhan.
